Content Writer

 

Responsibilities & Duties

Research industry related topics, analyze and suggest ideas for content creation

·   Conduct extensive keyword research and use SEO guidelines to optimize content

·       Write clear marketing copy to promote our products & services

   Create and manage content marketing strategies for the website, email, social media, PR, etc.

· Prepare well-structured drafts using Content Management Systems

·         Prepare interview questionnaire

·         Edit and proof read content pieces before publication

·   Submit work to management team for inputs and  approval

·         Identify company’s needs and recommend new topics

·        Ensure all round consistency (style, fonts, images and  tone)

·  Promote content on social networks and monitor engagement (e.g. comments and shares)

·    Measure web traffic to content (e.g. conversion and bounce rates)

·        Update website content as needed

·        Coordinate with internal teams to illustrate articles

·    Connect with marketing agency, web designers, and videographers to create unique and engaging content

 

Key Skills

·        Excellent understanding of digital marketing concepts and best practices

·         Excellent writing and editing skills in English

·         Excellent knowledge of SEO

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

      Knowledge of web development like HTML/

      JavaScript

·      Advanced Word, PowerPoint and other

     content creation software skills

·        Project management skills

·        Analytical mindset and creative thinking

 

Qualification

· Graduate or Postgraduate (preferable in Marketing/Literature/Journalism)

· 2-3 years of experience as a Content Writer, Copywriter or similar role

·         Digital Marketing Certification is an added bonus

·         Portfolio of published articles is a must

 

Experience in using some or all of the following technologies/platforms is a must

·         SEO Tools

·         AdWords and other PPC marketing platforms

·         Mail Chimp or any popular email marketing platform

·         LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and other social media

·  Content Management Systems like WordPress or Drupal

·    Google Analytics, Google Trends and other tools to measure marketing effectiveness

·         CRM like Hubspot, Salesforce, etc.
